Have an idea for a robotics programme? Want to create an outdoor learning space? Need specialised technology for your students? The Excellence in Education Grants provide Round Rock ISD teachers with funding for innovative projects that enhance student learning.
Grant Information
- Award amounts: grants range in cost up to $5,000
- Next application window: opens 1 November 2026 for the 2027-2028 cycle
- Eligibility: all Round Rock ISD teachers, all grade levels, all subjects
- Winners are surprised at their campus during the last week in August
- Support provided: funding plus recognition at Foundation events
What We Fund
- Innovative teaching programmes and curricula
- Technology and specialised equipment
- Field trips and experiential learning
- Classroom libraries and resources
- Professional development materials
- STEM, arts, literacy and special education projects
- Materials traditional budgets don’t cover
- Student engagement initiatives
Application Process
- Review the grant guidelines and past funded projects
- Complete the online application with a detailed project plan
- Submit a budget breakdown and timeline
- A volunteer committee reviews all applications
- Award notifications are sent by email
- Funded projects are implemented with Foundation support
